    Most here know I'm leased to a very small carrier in Omaha that I'm extremely happy with and of course they take a percentage which is fine .
    But threw a friend of a friend I've come up with decent paying loads out of Texas back to Omaha , minn and the Dakotas that we can have all of .
    I stumbled on to this or rather it on me .
    No broker involved and buyer writes a check on delivery .
    A side of me thinks that bein my freight that I arranged I shouldn't have give up full percentage ?
    But then again I don't want to rock the boat as I do as I please and they treat me awesome and money is always there .
    What would you do ?

    Where I'm leased same kind of environment. If I bring a coustemer in he cuts his % in half when I pull for that coustemer. I get first wack at pulling it. If I'm not avalable he will pull it and I get nothing.

    Works for us.

    If shipper has great payment history you should get a % more on loads you pull, if later they end up owe co. your leased to a lot of $ and dont pay you may have problems with owners?

    Well the shipper has an account with tmc and liked em but they don't have enough trucks in the area weekly .

    I have the same kind of arrangement with mine as well. Do what I want, when I want, how I want. No drama and money is always straight.

    The only time I would ever consider cutting out my carrier would be when I'm ready to cut out my carrier completely and do my own thing.

    Yeah that's kinda how I feel the more I think about it ... I enjoy being left alone , trusted and if I decide to buy new steer tires at a place of my choosing I call in and the money is there .
    I think I'll just leave things as is .

    Carrier should get a piece since it's their authority & insurance you're using. I like the idea that the percentage is cut since you brought the business.

    Naw the financial backing to me is gold , I could call in for an overhaul tmw and the money would be there ..I'm just gona shut up and not be greedy .... being with a company with a low 6 digit dot number is nice too.

    I think you were hoping for someone to pat you on the butt and say it's ok to do what you wanted to do. "Ask enough people and you will get the answer you are looking for."

    But, you already knew what was right and what was wrong, or you wouldn't have asked, you wouldn't have been conflicted.
