From what I've heard from some Howard drivers, They seem to like the company overall.

They haul their own freight, Howard makes the transformers, and they haul stuff to build the transformers back to their terminal.

This is all I have heard. Hope it helps.

Howard Transportation drivers - anybody home? There was a thread started nearly two years ago asking for info about this company. There were no replies from any Howard drivers. Let's try again. Any comments from current/past Howard drivers? Anything?

I am putting together a list of Flat Bed companies that I will be applying to. I have all the big ones; Mav., TMC, Mcelroy. My instructor mentioned Howard Trans. I have read pages and pages of post on the above three, but I don't remember seeing anything on Howard. Their web site is rather useless. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

From what I could find out, they aren't bad to work for. They are actually a mfring company, and their trucks haul a lot of the machinery that they make, outbound. But I've yet to talk to one of their drivers.

Another flatbed company to add to your list is CT Transport. They have a terminal in Mocksville. Don't know if they are currently hiring, but when they do, they will take recent grads.

    Good luck.
