When I first signed on with my company 13 years ago there was a three year experience requirement with tankers. That requirement was non-negotiable. Every new hire came from the generics like COX, Williams, PTL, et all. Now the tanker requirement is dropped and you just need 3 years of tractor trailers. Although the last two drivers that were hired had at least five years tanker experience each.

In order to say bad nasty things about my employer I'll have to remain anonymous. ;)

I figure I will update this thread. Cox never called me back but i did sign on to another company hauling fuel. They are small and i would rather not disclose the name here.

I start training in a little over a week and a half and quit my OTR job two days ago. So right now im just on a little vacation. Perfect timing too because i managed to pick up some firecrackers, m-150's, bottle rockets and other explosives while on my last trip out. Going to be a good 4th of July.

Anyways just thought id let you all know i officially joined the fuel hauling family!
