I know mega carriers exaggerate in their ads but this seems a little over the top.

Same here. I wouldn't doubt that my posts go through the mod queue before they show up to other users..But what do I know.

I don't think the original questions were ever answered.

    I've been wondering, as well.

Does W.E. flatbed really pay 65k?

(Something I've been wondering is does their flatbed fleet even have enough freight to keep you running through winter)?

My math seems to put the first 1,500 miles at .60 cpm. That can't be, can it?

Can any drivers comment on what they're really paying?

Yeah, the direct tv is nice, but can you idle w/o threat of getting fired?

Do they have cameras watching you, making you the show?

Do you get to see home more than once per year?

Is the ad the OP quoted all just a load of hooey from a company that's really a pig in lipstick pretending to be a fashion model?

Or, is W.E. just a homely girl next door screaming in her craigslist ad, "I have cookies! Why does nobody want my cookies? I baked 'em myself. They're mint fudgies."

Forgot to ask one more question.

W.E. also advertises that they're accepting students whether you went to a driving school or not. Is that true?

Are they actually accepting students who just read the cdl guide and rented a truck to take their state tests?

Cause something don't ad up. If they're paying so well, why are they so desperate?

Earn up to $65,000/yr or more.

'Up to' means that is the maximum.
Add the 'or more' part and it sounds a bit fishy.

You can only earn a certain amount of money at a certain pay and speed, and DOT regulations make sure of that.

I really can't believe that people actually believe the adverts these companies put out.

Next thing we'll see are ads that tell us we can maintain 80 MPH, even through construction zones and in residential areas, because of an 'understanding' with the cops, to get us those miles.

A_C_Cooper and Lone Bear Thank this.

Anybody that needs a tv and satellite spends way too much time at truck stops.

    But - but - but --

Their ad says $900 for 1500 miles, then .50 cpm for all additional miles.

    It must be true!

So a 3000 mile week would pay, $1,650. For 52 weeks that would be $85,800!

I guess that's the "or more" part. ;)
