Hi guys. Figured I would start my own blog here to see how my adventure goes on the Choice program. Been following most of you all here for quite a long time and finally made the jump.

A little about me....I've been driving since 2008....the last 3 1/2 as an O/O. Ran a very similar program to what you guys run on Choice and was very successful so I feel like I have a head start on some of the other IC's coming on board. I debated coming onboard with my '07 Freighliner Century but recently I've had to dump a bunch of money into it and quite frankly although it was running good I didnt trust it wouldn't continue to bleed money from me or even pass Schneider's inspection so I sold it and decided to lease a '15 Cascadia Evo with 112K miles on it.

Currently finished Day 1 of orientation here in Charlotte. Won't bore you with the details just really looking forward to hitting the road and hoping to continue to get useful information from you guys.

All I'm gonna say about orientation is that if the next 3 days are this long I'm gonna need to reset before I pull a load!! :biggrin_25512:

It takes a bit the learn everything and there is soooooo much to learn even after class is done.
Don't get discouraged if you don't get similar numbers like we post here right away, that as well takes time to learn through experience.
I've been here 8 months and there's still things I'm learning...

I was thinking about signing on for IC in Oct. But with this new contact I'm rethinking it.

The cafeteria staff at the cafeteria here at the Charlotte OC make the lunch lady in high school appear like a sweetheart.
