Keep a lock on the trailer that way they won't break the seal.

You should always leave a copy of the bills in the nose box. If I'm looking for an MT at an OC and there are no bills I don't care what the seal looks like, its assumed to be MT since no bills are on the trailer. BTW, I've got about 20 seals from shippers, that means nothing.

And if you think I'm going to spend an hr on the phone to find out, think again.

Besides, if for some reason you can't come back for it, save yourself the trouble of getting the bills there.

    RStewart Thanks this.

Yep. But I got used to working for companies where seals didn't get broken since it was easy to verify if the trailer was loaded.

    No worries. Live and learn.

Takes about 2 seconds to pop a lock off.

True, but most of the drivers that are breaking seals & popping locks off aren't going to look in the nose box for bills either. The best fix (definitely not the easiest) is to get the morons to quit breaking seals. Just another hurdle in the luxurious life of a trucker.

If You cut a lock or seal you should be fired.

No the real solution would be for SNI to fix their trailer problem (yeah right!) and for drivers to quit trying to keep an mt when they go home (not likely).

I do check the nose box if there's a seal. No bills and I'm looking inside.
