Driver exited his truck without setting the brakes, then it rolled into an SUV with a family inside. Killed the mom and injured the rest. Driver charged with DUI, as well. Of course the radio reporter rattled off all the CSA numbers, including many drug/alcohol related violations.

Screw the Safety Manager...I feel for the surviving family members. Their lives will never be the same. Preventable situations like this one just adds to the negative perception of truckers.

Heard this one all the way in through ATL this morning. They never did say the company though. Initial reports this morning were prescription meds and not alcohol.
