So I was talking with another guy on the team the other day who is driving a Volvo.

Volvo has a fuse in the fuse box, you pull it.... And BOOM, the idle goes to zero on the Qualcomm.

You can idle, and avoid the hate mail messages!

Anyone know where this is on the prostar??

I assumed the idle was monitored by the fact the engine is running but speed is 0, or some combination of that and it being out of gear.

About the only thing that I think works is to pull the QC fuse altogether. All that does is prevent all communication between the truck and your company.

Let me be the first to tell you though, when your company comes looking for that truck that just dropped off the map, you're going to be wishing you got hate mail instead.

Also... It's "hate mail" from some dick that gets to go home and sleep in their own bed with a working air conditioner every night. Ignore it.

I don't have any issues with idling at Sni, but the day they give me any grief I'll happily tell them how I really feel.

I have managed to accumulate idle time while in traffic on the interstate. Brake knobs pushed in and in gear.

I made sure that I was listed as "driving" on my logs, and when I stopped that night I sent a qc message in. No troubles.

Nope, had not seen that post.

The fuse in the Volvo only disconnected the engine monitor.

Still had full capabilities for everything.

Why do you guys worry so much about fuses? How about your fuse? Just tell the company you are working for that if you do not have the necessary temperature in your truck while waiting for your load or dropping or loading your fuse will blow up!

Take it this way! if the engine is too hot the truck stops! what is different with the driver? I guess you do not idle just for fun!

Just spent a few days in a Volvo, while prostar was in shop.

Pretty cool, fuse #59... Pull it, and the only change .... Is idle zero on Qualcomm.

Oh, I will stay comfortable... No worries.

I'm sure the DM has to answer, I'm a team player . If it could be this simple on the Int, I don't mind playing the game..... As retarded as it may be.
