If unhappy then why cannot you just leave now? Companies everywhere are hiring.
I have been on a dcs account for a year now with jb hunt and like it. Net weekly pay is around a thousand or so the am home every weekend.
I'm a fleet manager/former driver...ask me anything you want

Why I can't leave? Ok I can leave anytime I like. However I have been here 2 years and know this company can do better. A lot better. I also have time invested in my 401k that would stop should I leave. Having worked dcs I know all about how good it is. However I have moved from NY to Ar. Jb doesn't have any dcs near little rock otherwise i would be on it. Intermodal trucks suck big time. The Memphis ramp in my opinion is by far the worst. So, I am stuck. I write a blog that people in corporate read and I know this because I get calls. Trying to point out that the jb hunt otr fleet is horrible and if you have people to support or lots of bills you will go broke.
I am in a different situation so my tolerance is higher. My bills are paid my expenses are low and kids are grown. So I will stay and post and blog until they change cor the better or get rid of me for being honest. Want to know my mileage average for the last 3 weeks? 1,129.3. Think I don't have reason to complain? -
401K or not other companies have them too. If it is that bad as an experienced driver in Arkansas you have a lot of other choices unless you like to complain.
Sorry, I clicked on this thread by accident but I have a hard time believing your comment hence my reply. -
Duckdiver, I want to hear more about the Freak of Nature.
He sounds like your most profitable asset, why lie in wait to cut him loose? -
Well it's a she not a he lol. She did 20 loads in 3 days, and that is the honest truth. I play no favorites, she hustles, she works her full 14, doesn't complain. As long as she is a safe driver and does everything legit (proper pre trip etc) I'll get her all the loads she can handle assuming we have the work and all the drivers get their fair share

I'm not going to lie, I don't know how jb hunt otr division is, it's the smallest division at jb hunt. If regional/dcs/Intermodal doesn't work for you, as others said there are a billion trucking companies out there. You need to do what will make you happy.

She sound like a great driver and asset to have. Please refer her to us we need a great OTR driver like her.

Don't let 4o1K be the deal breaker in deciding where you want to work. Besides, 401K these days is not brining much exciting returns as investment option either.

My best week last year. Worked Wed to Sun. Off two full days, not 48 hrs. Intermodal Chicago West/Green Bay. On e-logs. Drive with OnGuard. In a JB truck.
Yeah, you can make some $$ if you hustle.
