Our company have few straight trucks.
Broker gave us information about load and stated that there are 10 pallets on this load. We arrive and then realized that there are 15 pallets instead 10. But our straight truck can haul only 12 pallets and broker knew about it. Shipper didn't want to upload our truck because they want to upload all 15 pallets. Broker said only "sorry, it's not my fault, customer said me it's 10 pallets but now it's 15 pallets and I can't do nothing". Broker refuse to pay as for fuel, wasted 1 day and other expenses. What we can do in situation like this?

Remember this and avoid this broker/shipper in the future.

Can we submit claim against broker's bond?
-
No. They probably gave you the information they had at the time and the shipper later added some more pallets. It's just a learning lesson for you.
-
Learning lesson for what. If we leave it, it can happen any time again. it's not right. Someone needs to pay for this - broker or customer.
-
Go ahead and try to collect, let us know how that goes...

You should have a conformation sheet if it does state 10 pallets you might have a claim don't no if you really could tho. This has happened to me occasionally broker always paid me something
