May have a problem getting insurance even after you get your license. Most companies like to see at least a year under your belt.

One thought is to list the friend that was going to ride with you for your test as the primary driver?

 

1stgaurd should insure you. All you need is physical damage. Don't tell them you just need it for a test no one will insure you.

 

And drivers wonder why the rates are in the toilet.

 

As long as you are not operating commercially just have your car insurance company insure it as an RV. Or get commercial insurance on it through them. Most insurers will insure a commercial vehicle, for local stuff within a certain set distance from your "home".
