Is El Paso always completely dead?

Well, this turned out a little interesting. Funny, and not funny at the same time.

Arrived at Toro in El Paso. They wanted my trailer in a bad way, motioned for me to stop and drop, and it was in a door being loaded 5 minutes later as I walked out with my bills.

The unsettling part, shipping began questioning me about the other loads there, and why they were never picked up. I assured them I would send a message though my contacts, and they were going to send out emails yet again to Schneider.

Makes no sense, or maybe it does. Freight this slow, yet we are angering customers with late pickups, and a need for trailers just to load more loads for us.

On top of that, loads not picked up, meanwhile I am sitting and doing an unneeded reset just 50 miles away. Had another IC unloading at the same customer in Lost Causes that I was. He was deadheading 350 miles back to Casa Grande yesterday because he never was able to get a load out of this area either.

As I mentioned, when I got my load, it was not a new load. It was made available to me, at he same time my ICR contacted me to ask me if I wanted it. No reason for these loads to have not been available, at least not that I can see.

They hold them so the company trucks they're putting on TSC will have loads in that area, that's why it wasn't a new load and why your ICA offered it to you.

They can see those loads we can't

Wow.. IT would burn my britches thinking i sat for 3 days and there were loads earmarked for company drivers.

Stories like this make me glad I've got my own numbers.

Cost of being leased onto a mega and competing with their company trucks for freight.

I'm not saying I like it and it's not a deceitful practice. Because it in my opinion is unethical.

Plenty of Juarez cross border freight heading through El Paso. Off of the record of course if you know the right people in the cartel
