Maybe at the top paying companies but the majority of food/beverage companies will hire you right out of school. Even the ones that say they want exp will sometimes. Some put the exp needed on websites to weed out the lazy ones just apply anyways

let us know how it goes. What school you going to, that can also make a difference on if the company will hire you from school. Usually they want to see 160hr class

With rates this low, companies are desperate for drivers.

Dupree has trucks moving in lower LA. I see them in the refinery's 24/7. Tankers carrying whatever wherever. Most of the wells I worked on in south Texas were serviced by Dupree as well.

Here's some that hire new cdl grads even if the website says "experience required." Apply during the first week of cdl school is best.
    Girton Propane Service
    McKenzie Tank Lines
    Trimac Transportation
    Schneider Bulk
    CTL Transportation
    SVTN
    Superior-Carriers
    Tidewater Transit
Western Dairy Transport - milk haulers

I wouldn't advise trying to get into the oilfields right now. Things are tough. My job is pretty much dependent on oil prices and everyday since mid 2014 I've been worried about layoffs. Overtime is pretty much non-existent. While I doubt we'll see $100 a barrel oil any time soon, once oil stabilizes at around $60 or higher I think we'll see the money start coming back. I don't think we'll see that until 2017 or later though.
