Go look at a 1997 freightshaker and a pete and look at them and price them Pete holds it value over time . but only if you keep it if you trade every 3 years for the shine well we all know .

I have 2012 Cascadia. the odometer shows 385k m. no interior plastic rattles. but I had 3 broken handles on interior cabinets, crack covered oem radiator grille, cracked side fairing due to cheap plastic was used. still I like this truck because of mpg , ride and interior size. I love roomier cabs. I used to have pete before but today Cascadia is a better truck for me.

today you can find cheap parts on pete/kw too... good times are gone. automakers are using cheapest possible supplies today. kw and pete are not exemptions.

But in some cases you get to overpay for the cheap parts.

Ive driven an 09 pro star with the cummins, a t600 kw and 07 pete with a c13 cat with a million miles on it. Id have to say the pro star was a smoother ride but the kw and pete were better built and had more power. My pete is my favorite so far but it is very tight inside. I think the bottom line is the way the truck was spec'd out and maintained. And then again sometimes you just get a lemon no matter what brand. My avatar is my current ride.
