Congrats man. It's good to love what you do isn't it? You had to pay your dues but now looks like your dues are paying you. Nice truck. Yes, you do need to check out the droid. I was tech-slack and recently got the droid and man I would have gave anything to have this while I was driving. It even has a car-dock so that you can use it as a GPS. It's a hands free GPS that you just talk to! It has a ton of killer apps including pandora radio in which it plays whatever you create as a radio station. Also has a police scanner that scans whatever town you are in! I love it! My brother was checking out my phone and bought one an hour later! They had a special in which you could buy one get one free.
You guys used to work for Central right? Sorry, I hadn't been posting in a while and am trying to catch up with everyone. My wife and I worked for Central too. So now you are just running out west? I love it out there! Being from Florida gets boring. We were hauling horses commercially and stayed mostly in the heartland. Can get a little monotonous. I hope you have your fishing pole with you. There were so many great little spots out there in Id and Or and N.Ca. Keep us informed and throw in some photos for us retiree's. Good luck, drive safe! -
Ok folks, this song will be sung to the Monty Python's tune "spam". Everybody ready now? Beer, beer, beer etc.
Yep, thats right. Got a preplan for another beer load going to Waco. I'm about to consider that place my 2nd home by now after all the times I've been there.
Dang but I sure would like to get some GOOD sleep. Kind of nutty at the moment or couldn't ya'll tell? Trying to sleep during the day.....haven't got that down quite yet. -
I just applied at Crete. I am not sure if I will go there or not though. I really would like to go to a smaller company again, but nobody near me is hireing at the moment and I do not feel like searching much.
I will have to start studying my hazmat again though. They require it, I have not had it since 1995 or something lol.
Who knows though. I will have a long talk with my dispatcher when he gets back next week before I do anything. Just the short milage pay is killing me. They gave me a preplan today that said 520 miles loaded. But when I ran the miles it was almost 700. I mean give me a brake.
Did not take that one. Would not have had 24 hours at home. The fill in dispatcher they had on me today does not seem to know where any place is in NY. -
i don't know where any place is in NY. i just end up driving through the state. LOL.

i just downloaded the copilot program onto my phone. really liking it. compared to the basic watered down gps programs on my phone that require the internet. i actually have a tom tom now. even if it is only copilot. LOL. the program was $30. i've been using it on my motorcycle.
one of these days i might do some checking for a full fledged trucker gps for my phone.
