Picked up the rental car yesterday that TMC reserved. I left the house at 6AM this morning. 2 hours in I picked up 2 more drivers, one a noob like me and the other experienced but been out of a truck for a few years.
I was laid off from the coal mines 3 months ago and went to truck school to get a job in the fracking industry. Well oil and gas seems to be heading for the same crapper as coal. I hope to ride out the next couple years at TMC and hope a new president gets the energy industry working again.
Just another new drivers experience with TMC

Good luck Live4WVU, TMC seems from what I've read a great flatbed company.

I used this forum to help pick TMC. The drivers have less complaints than most companies. And the money appears good. Well as good as is available. I've made 100k+ the last few years.
Puppage Thanks this. -
How long of a drive is it?Thats good TMC furnished a car.Beats the heck out of a bus.

It will be about 13 hours. Almost 900 miles.

A good indicator that a company is better than average is the means of the transit the company provides its newly hired employees.
Top Shelf is :
1) Fly
2) Rental Car
3) Bus (You are dealing with a high turnover outfit) -
It took us almost 15 hours. Hit a lot of black ice in Illinois. Fueled up the rental car at the TMC garage and me a driver getting a new aero Pete. Bought his old inverter for $50. Have to be on the shuttle at 6:45am tomorrow.

I'll be watching your thread here WVU. From Pittsburgh here and looking at going with TMC also. All the best man.
