KAG West employees receive pay raise

I was unaware that they were Union.

 

Yep every KAG terminal in so cal is union. And last I heard top pay was $19 per hour. So this was a long time coming and well deserved.

 

$19 seems very low especially for SoCal. I know several outfits paying $23-27 but that's San Jose. Pretty comparable cost of living unless your in the valley...

 

Seems like the further north you get, the better the pay. LA is a great city to drive a truck, great weather, not a lot of low bridges or restricted routes, road layout makes sense most of the time. So it's a supply and demand issue. A lot of people willing and able to do this job and only a finite number of seats. So pay is a race to the bottom...

 

Good for them, it's about time someone stuck it to those rate cutting mofos. Besides KAG is a freaking monopoly, they got their hands in everything these days.
