Kentucky 24, my husband is set for orientation w/ KOCH on August 17th. From what I have read from you it seems like a good company to work for. We have been dealing with Connie in recruiting and she is saying he is approved and ready to go, can you think of any reason that would change once we got to orientation?
Also, Connie said my husband would have his own room during orientation, and that they would fly him up or he could rent a car, and that it will last all week, is that the norm? Also you had ask someone if they had a felony, my husband does, it happened in 1991 and he was pardoned in 2000, will this hurt, recruiting is aware.
Sorry for all the questions, but you seem to have some sound advice, so thought I would ask. -

koch was not bad at first but then they just stopped running me, never could get an explanation as to why, then they would not even try to get me home when I requested with plenty of advance notice. I only worked there 2 months and ran real good the first month, after that after that...nothing
I am pretty sure they were having problems in the main office that was affecting the dispatch ect
while I feel bad for them having troubles, I got my own and could not play their games
I do have to say the truck was the best company truck I have driven in many years, even if it was a little older than I like
and since I just read thru these posts, I saw the one where someone was asking about greatwide, stay away unless your truck is paid for, they will starve you outjimboo2846 Thanks this. -

Kentucky 24 hit it pretty much square on the head. The guys who have the negative feedback here about this company obviously had issues brought on by themselves. ATTITUDE and APPEARANCE is EVERYTHING. Same goes for the rest of the posts about most other companies that get these silly complaints. No company is going to intentionally "screw" a guy over. If you are an employee making appointments on time, keeping your equipment and yourself looking decent, don't walk into offices with horsecrap attitudes, can fill out paperwork neatly and properly without payroll spending all day trying to unscramble all the misspellings and poor penmanship, then it would be illogical and not very business saavy for a company to do so. I've been trucking over 20 years and have seen and known the likes of lots of these guys driving trucks.
My own personal experience with Koch was they are a good company if you are good to them. I put in 8 good years with them and KENTUCKY24 is as accurate about this company as there is.Mortar Man Thanks this. -
I thought that my time at KOCH was in fact good .
I made good money , was very happy , I just got bit by the Tanker Bug
I was on the Kmart dedicated fleet , not sure if they even have it anymore but that was my gig and being a ( laid off Wal mart guy ) it was pretty good deal
If I was to loose my employment , I'd call Koch in a second . -

Ok so after some time off the road it looks like I may be going back out. I have done all the paper work an I'm just sitting back to see if I get the ok or not from Koch trucking. I live in Arkansas just down from little rock an what I would like to know is will they get me home for my home time. I have a family that I would love to spend as much time with as I can. Just asking
