Thank you for the info. This will also be my first time in 35 years being on a EOBR I'm pretty good at planning my trips it's just those darn unexpected snags in traffic, flats etc...that worry me that if I was 1 hour from home of running out of hours then being stuck for 10 hours and not getting home

We are expecting to sign on with Landstar as soon as we get our new step deck. Their bobtail insurance seems very low at $82 a month. Also I see nothing about cargo liability ins. Who pays that? The company I am currently with charges me over $1600 a month for a variety of things and that includes about 750 a month for cargo ins. This is dependent on the price of the cargo I haul.

So who can tell me the average time, from the time you turn in your app, and what ever else they ask for, before you get a call that tell's you your good to go and here is when you can go to orientation? Here is why I am asking; the company I am leased onto has 4 truck/trailers and drivers,,including me. They are talking about leasing onto LS and want to do it asap. From all the years I have been reading this forum, it seems to me that 2 weeks is about average but, I have never actually filled out an app for LS so, I ask you....

Just heard from the CEO of the company I am leased to, that it will be anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks,,,Which is what I told him it would be based on everyone's input on this forum. That is good for me because I spent last week at home and it will take me two weeks or more to get caught back up....
