Who are you with, and what plan are you on?
    Who gets the best coverage?
What phone do you have, and do you love it or hate it?

I'm looking to change carriers and I want to know people's recommendations.

If you're talking about the need to have nationwide coverage in both rural and urban areas, you need to only consider Verizon or ATT. 6 is one, half-dozen is the other in terms of coverage and pricing. Both are competing with higher base data limits but data is still a costly proposition when you like to do video streaming and other high bandwidth applications.

I use google traffic all day long while driving around Chicago, but after switching from Verizon to Sprint (to save about $100 a month) my Note 5 does not have dual antennas and can not send/receive data while on a call. My work-a-round is to use my tablet. It's cumbersome...

yeah but it does not run on ALL Verizon towers. In rural areas you can stand next to someone with Verizon and they have signal while any of the prepaids that run on Verizon do not. Trust me on this one. Even the Verizon prepaid does not run on the entire network.

Me I have Verizon with the Droid Maxx. When I was looking at phones I told them I wanted the best antenna and they told me that the Droid Maxx had the best antenna. It has proven to be true. Coworkers of mine all have Verizon. We were needing to contact the customer at the delivery site as we were all pulled to the side of the road. My phone was the only one that could make the call.

I switched from being with Sprint for over Ten years to Verizon a year ago and my only regret was waiting so long... I'm happy to pay a higher price... As they say you get what you pay for!!!

    Verizon
Switched from TMo (TLess) 4 or 5 years ago.
    Haven't regretted a day.

I tried out Sprint a year or so ago.
Think I lasted a week or two.
Supposedly they (Sprint) have improved, but I wouldn't use them if THEY PAID ME.
There's a couple regular posters here who SWEAR by Sprint.
I'm sure one of them will be here shortly.

    Almost forgot.
I have a Note 5, I'm very happy with it.
Some of that is preference I suppose.
Some don't like Samsung, others don't like LG.
Then we have the iPhone lovers....

Sprint does alright in metropolitan and most rural areas.

Verizon gets 4g in metro areas only then runs on 3g elsewhere.

Selectel, the only prepaid Verizon MNVO to use the full Verizon network (and one of the few not owned by Carlos Slim...owner of Tracphone, Page Plus, Straight Talk, etc).

I also like Puppy Wireless, (again, not owned by Slim) a prepaid Verizon MNVO that uses the VZN prepaid network. Customer service is 100% in the USA. You will not call them and have to deal with someone in the middle East.
