Hey I was wondering what companies are good around here for those looking to acquiring a CDL. Been working for warehouses for a couple of years. I see companies advertised all over the place. I get that it's an area expanding due to all these warehouses, but I also know that a good number of the companies are looking for truckers because they can't keep them.
Anybody know of decent truck jobs that, while relatively low paying (I understand that I'm starting from the bottom), will not completely screw me over on a whim?

Are you looking at going to a private school to get cdl or through a company. Few schools in Indy but i believe there is only 1 trucking company with a school in Indy and that celadon.

Sodrel Transportation
Celadon - mentioned in Post #2
Plenty more outside the state that provide meals and hotel room while in their school. -
Check with all the LTL companies and see if any have a training program. Some may let you handle freight and train you.

Old dominion had a dock to driver program.

Depends on your wants. If you want to be home every weekend, you are largely restricted. I you want OTR, it's a whole different ballgame. You have to let us know what you want.

I know some can take awhile. Just giving them options. Lol

Being single and 25 I think I can handle OTR for a year or so.
