I have a question. What sort of money do the lease operators that train make ? I know it's going to vary but I'm just curious ..

I know as a 3 year lease operator it can be difficult to deal with forced dispatch system. Controlling you expenses can be your success. I am near the end of a 3 year lease, on a dedicated division, I make on average 1000 a week. To me this is okay and it doesn't bother me as much but I still track all my fuel and revenue using spreadsheets to manage my end of week profits.

You're a lease driver and only make 1k a week? Should have stayed company..

The most important rule of becoming an O/O is not to purchase or lease a truck from someone who controls your dispatch.

I went company, two of my classmates from six months ago went lease. One driver has already quit. I suspect the one who leased a used Kenworth to be next.

The first couldn't sell weed on a college campus. This second one thinks threatening his FM with quitting, refusing loads that go anywhere NE, and going home, is going to lead to success.

He asked if I was making money, yeah, more than both of those guys were.

I tried to tell them. They thought I was the joker.

    Sad.
