LTL - Owner/Lease Operator Opportunities?

    Does anyone know what types of owner operator/lease operator opportunities are available with LTL companies such as Reddaway, Conway, Estes, etc? I'm familiar with OTR and opportunities in that line of work but don't know much about LTL. The reason I ask is that I'm considering a local pick up and delivery job with an LTL company but down the road want to work for myself (in LTL if possible).

    I know for a fact Conway doesn't have O/Os on the LTL side at all. I don't know of any O/O on the P&D side anywhere. I have seen O/O UPS Freight, FedEx, ODFL, Estes (IIRC) but they are all linehaul/road drivers.

    A lot of drivers for Fed Ex are contractors as far as I know.
