I do mine about every 3 weeks. Well let's say every 6 weeks it goes in for an oil change and full grease lube all around. Then 3 weeks later I get down and do it again.

Every time I drop the trailer, before hooking back up, I grease the 5th wheel which is about once a week.

I have always lubed and changed oil/filters at 15,000 miles using 15-40 non synthetic oil. I use mobil delvac. My 98 pete had 1,100,000 miles when I sold it,,original u-joints, front axle and tie rods were original too, never replaced any part that needed lubed

I try to do mine every weekend. In reality I end up missing a weekend a few times a year. Grease is 2.50 a tube. Takes less than thirty minutes and your u joints will thank you. Bonus is while under there you will see any seeping wheel seals before the dot does. It's a whole lot cheaper to find and fix any issues on your drive way than it is out on the road.

I used to do most of the maintenance on my dad's trucks back when I was in highschool. The truck/trailer would get completely greased every weekend and the drive line, log bunks and s-cams were done again every Wednesday night because the bush roads tended to pound the grease out of those parts. Transmission throw out bearing and cross shafts got greased every 2nd week. Engine oil was changed at either 250 or 500 hours (depending on what was recommended) as logging trucks tend to generate more hours/less miles than a highway truck. He never had an issue with premature failures (I think he only every lost 3 or 4 trips due to breakdowns in his whole career as an o/o. Like spyder said, you'll catch things before the DOT will as well.

15k Oil and lube, truck stays on decent interstate so I dont worry about it to much. Was thinkin of steping it up to every 7500 for a quick greese. Even if you dont do it ur self the TA charges 20$ and its done in minutes.

We do oil changes every 15,000 as well with full lube, we also bring them in at 7500 for grease jobs and quick look over. Any time they're in the shop in-between, we'll hit the u-joints, clutch linkages and steering/suspension. My only battle with that is getting the guys to wipe off grease that pushes out.

I HATE grease slung all over. When I grease, I wipe off the grease fitting, so dirt doesn't get pushed in. When I'm done I wipe off the fitting again and any grease that pushed out.
