Good thing we didn't bother those other countries that OFFERED to help. Would have been a waste of their time. Apparently we have had this thing under control for weeks.

I've been to Canada more times than I can count in my truck; and as it rains here and I leave for work . . . I say a prayer for you all. I wish I could send it to you. This has been heavy on my heart, and I follow what I can on the news here, daily. God be with you gents. I can't even imagine the travesty.

I've been using the Alberta Wildfire app on my phone. This morning's update puts it at 423,000 hectares and still growing. 2016 is shaping up to be like BC's 2003 or worse. To put it in perspective, this fire is over 16x the size of the fire that burned through Barrierre, BC 13 years ago.
