The piping is the orange boots in the pic. The charge air cooler(cac) is in front of the radiator. You have piping on both sides of the motor with those boots. Your checking for air leaks at the boots and cac itself. Best way is idle up to 1000rpm or so then spray boots and cac with soapy water or windex. If it bubbles you have a leak. If it's outside the clamps,tighten them,if its inside you need a new boot.

I am looking at s 1996 9200i with a M11 400 hp 10 speed. It’s says 482,000. I am curious about this block stiffener ? I keep reading about . Is it recommended or should I get the xxx number and go from there. appreciate anyone’s help

I'm in the process of buying one that says 350/400 HP on the door jam plate. Owner said it is set at 400 hp. I gotta believe if it came from the factory with the above on the door jam, I should be good to go????
