Wow. My company doesn't say anything until I hit 85, And then they tell me to KEEP IT UNDER 85!!! I guess I'm lucky that way.

If you want to see what your parameters are for over speed, go to your qualcomm and tap the performance button on the home screen. Once there hit the parameters tab and it will tell you what has been set for the over speed and excessive over speed. Company trucks are governed to 62-63 and on my truck over speed is at 67 with excessive at 71. As I understand it, if you lease a truck through IEL then your truck is governed at 68. A truck not leased through IEL is not governed but the contract states that the speed limit is 68 and that the company monitors your qualcomm speed.

I guess I just answered my own question... -
I was hoping someone was smart enough to tell them to go look at it through the qualcomm. I have heard from some birds that we are getting our speeds put back up to 65. Some thing about a lawsuit. I have talked to some drivers of 2015's and they go 65 and a few people who got upgrades and they do 65 as well.

Just because the truck used to be governed at 68 for for a lease/op doesn't mean that that is a speed that is good for you. Just because the qualcom isn't beeping doesn't mean that someone is not tracking how fast you are going. If it were me, I would do the 62 and keep the overage for when you need to avoid the elephant race, and be quiet about it.
Also, I agree that Swift can not mandate to an owner how fast the truck can go, however, they can mandate how fast a Swift trailer can go. -
inkeper, Moosetek13 and A21CAV Thank this.

They're not that bad, if you follow their rules.
And if you find the rules too constrictive you are free to find employment elsewhere.
Sooner rather than later is best, just to keep your DAC clean. If they fire you for refusing to follow company policy it will go on your DAC.
Sometimes I wish I had another couple MPH to draw upon just to get around someone that is going slightly slower (ya, it happens) a little quicker.
But I find 62 to be a comfortable speed, and I have no problem keeping my speed in check (63-65) going downhill.joseph1135 and inkeper Thank this. -
I don't even a 60 mph truck when 80% of my driving is in California. But hey to each there own. Just don't end up in a ditch going 68 mph...
joseph1135 Thanks this. -
