THAT was hilarious! I'm sorry he hurt you, glad you're ok, but you worked thru it and that's cool.

I wanted to snap a funny comment to joke. I can't. Get the Doc to stick the 200.00 love deal. The fines will kill. No Med card, come get the truck, Motel time, Appointment in a town, the Doctor is "out looking at cows" Mid west. Only did it once. :biggrin_25521:

My first DOT physical at the age of 21 was done by a chiropractor. And quack is right! I was too new, and young to know better.

but thinking back, all the whacked out stretching and reaching, and bending he had me doing in that open back gown... He should have paid ME!

Oddly enough, the only "medical examiner" listed on that FMCSA National Registry website within 50 miles of me is a chiropractor! LoL.

Most doctors will not accept insurance for a DOT physical since it is work related and NOT part of your usual care. Have only had one doc take insurance on it, and that was several years ago.

Had my physical done 4 years ago with my doctor through the wellness benefit on the policy. Too much of a hassle. Better to go to the regular DOT doctor.

They have no problem keeping the stuff separate at the clinic my doc is at. You're in for a DOT physical, you pay cash or by check/credit card . . . pretty simple. Then again they do a lot of those physicals there due to the number of companies in the area. Just a matter of a doc and office staff that can separate the two.

I actually got lucky. They recorded everything as a wellness check and it covered by the insurance at the time. Figure I only went to the doctor on the wellness one time in 5 years.

They said they were going to do a separate bill, so no loss.
