Took my Dot Physcial today and I couldn't get my blood pressure to drop down by 2 points 141/76. I had drank an energy drink a few hours before and worked 12 hours, not knowing the company had scheduled my app today.
The doctor only certified me for one year. When I go back next year and pass will they give me 2 years again?
I am 24 and do not have a history of high blood pressure.

Them energy drinks are bad for you.

And if you smoke. Don't light up for at least 4 hours before the BP test.

When I got my license I had a similar thing. I had no clue about the physical. I was so worried I would miss my alarm that I stayed up all night and had a few energy drinks. I ended up with a one year cert. Next time though I got a two year cert.

I don't know why anyone would be worried unless you got reason to be worried. I mean, seriously, pee, eyes and bp. What's there to worry about?

It's a mistake! Happen to me and my other 2 drivers as well. Go back and tell them this, because if you don't they will say that you don't know what you're talking about.
"The DMV told me that this is supposed to be for two years, and they asked me if I noticed it"
Doctors won't argue with the DMV.

Very good example of how people envoled in the oversite of trucking, don't know what there doing.

    Shadowz81 Thanks this.
