I recently had a heart attack. The company is not going to keep me employed because the recommended time the DOT says I have to be out is 60 days. Is there anyway any company can check and see if my current medical card shows me disqualified other than when they check my employment history? Lets face it guys, 60 days is way to long to be out of work and having no insurance doesn't help matters.

My first advice would be to call a labor lawyer. I don't believe they can fire you for taking legitimate medical leave, if there won't be any restrictions???
But I'm not a lawyer, that's why you should go ask one.TequilaSunrise, 28, Puppage and 1 other person Thank this. -
They didn't fire me. They just cant hold my job for 60 days. I can reapply and would be rehired without any problems, but just cant sit around for 60 days with no income.

How did your medical card get revoked?
You had a valid medical card at the time of your heart attack, correct? Did you go for another physical after your heart attack and the doctor refused?
Who took your medical card? -
Does your car qualify as a Uber vehicle?
Just a thought anyway.TequilaSunrise, Texnmidwest and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this. -
