Careful in mich....I did not know they can axle weigh u..always thought if tandems are fixed they hafta weigh tandems as a unit...man, was I wrong.. some uptight a hole gave me an overweight on the back axle on a set of tandems b.c there was a trailer defect. I even cat scaled it.
Same officer gave a different driver a ticket for not stopping when he was coming out of a private driveway to a road. Gimme a freaking break.
I do not respect leos..sorry but the ones I come in contact with are on powertrips.

Easy ticket for them.
CAT scales aren't even setup for axle weighing a closed tandem..
We would never even know.
If your a company driver I would think a decent company would cover that for you.thejackal Thanks this. -
All that happened in Detroit? I guess the cops are done solving all the homicides and robberies and now they can focus their attention on the important things?

That's kind of surprising to me. Unless maybe you were way over on one axle. I have always known Michigan to be more lenient on axle weights but offer no forgiveness for over gross.
What was the weight of each axle? -
I was over on rear by 9000. Do u get my frustration, tho? Cause as a tandem, on a cat they weighed 33000.
-
Looking at the bright side I guess could been worse. At least overweight isn't a CSA score.
-
Michigan is a axle weight state
-
Im sure there are lotsa states with portable scales. Utah and colorado are 2 others that weigh each tire/S indiviually
