I have a trucking company and I wanted to lease a couple of owner operators through my company with out being under my authoriy.

Can I do this? Also is it better to have them under my authority vs not.

Sure you can, But I don't know why you would unless you stipulate a non-solicit clause in your carrier-driver lease agreement.

I would never do it because your asking for trouble sub-leasing existing carriers to move YOUR customers freight. With their own authority, They Can Take that customer faster than you can believe.

And you'll never see them again.
