The question I have is: Has anyone ever loaded 40,000#s on a trip to Athens, OH over US50 from Winchester, VA?

Yes Dont do it. Rte 50 is great until you get way up in WV. I did it in the 80,s. Oposit direction. Took me over 8hrs.the road thru WV is skinny. Front bumper on one edge of road and trailer hitting side of mountain

I'm surprised that piticular hwy in wv don't have a length limit or maybe they do now.I took a wrong hwy in wv..it started out as a smooth four lane hwy and changed to a narrow two lane road and because it was dark and pouring rain I didn't see the length restriction and ended up in bear country.Very steep and windy road.Had to take up entire hwy cause of all the hairpin turns. But finally came to a town and found the interstate I needed to be.

Why don't you run up 81 and jump on 70 W onto 68w, go down 79 and jump on 50 at Clarksburg, run 50 from there over to 77. If your not familiar with the narrow roads you may be better off. Been a while since I was on 50 east of 79, it wasn't no super road for sure.

I should have known it would be a nitemare because of the customer in wv.I went around the block four times thru a shakey residential neighborhood trying to figure out how the heck do I get in.I couldn't find a street or a driveway to the place.I finally found a place to pull over and called him wonder how I get in.
