You can do whatever the heck you want with your own property, you just can't legally have others do it for you. We have had the discussion in other threads here before. Now the big bad EPA would like to tell you otherwise but that is indeed untrue. Why would you waste your money on a glider when you can just rebuild what you already have the way you want and then create a glider yourself? If you don't know how to do that sell your current truck and get yourself an older one that will indeed outlast the newer one in the first place. Until the manufactures show us reliable equipment again that does not end up in and out of the shop all the time. I am not willing to take the risk for their POS experiments. They can experiment on the Mega's that is what they are there for. The engineers and sales reps will tell you whatever they can to get you into those POS's.

I deleted the DPF and SCR on my 2013 Peterbilt with a Paccar MX-13 ( I only run the truck off road ). The best thing I ever did. DO IT... Delete every bit of after treatment you have. You will use less fuel, have more dependability, need fewer oil changes, have less engine wear and way more power.

I'm no saint, downpipes & test pipes were the first modifications for my sports cars, but that doesn't change the fact that defeating an emission control device is a violation of the clean air act:

    42 U.S. Code § 7522 - Prohibited acts
    (3)
    (A) ... for any person knowingly to remove or render inoperative any such device or element of design after such sale and delivery to the ultimate purchaser...

A federal offense, $700 fine for the first offense. Right or wrong, they write the fine and you're left to defend yourself against the ADA. Been there done that. It's real.
