Scheduled to go to training next week and don't want to wait for a mentor when finished, which will get a mentor quickest ? I would like to train on a reefer but don't want to sit around waiting for a trainer, will it make a difference ?
Need a mentor quick, which will be the quickest reefer or dry van ?

I would recommend taking whatever comes available. The important part about this phase of training is to learn how to operate the truck safely and the Qualcomm and all the other aspects of truck driving. Learning to operate the reefer can be done when you get on a reefer account.

Training on a reefer takes about 10 minutes more then on a Dry Van.

Reefer is a higher level of trucking than a simple dry van. No offense, anyone can run a van.
Now a Van with insulation, reefer and fuel to feed it is more interesting and immersive compared to a dry van.
Remember you can always shut off reefer and load like a dry van. But you can never have a dry van load frozen food. (Or want to.)
If you are impatient and cannot wait for a reefer trainer a extra day or hours, then I suggest reevaluating trucking because waiting is a foundation of our work. Sometimes as much as three days in a meat plant...jahnneysazftw92, xlsdraw and Chinatown Thank this. -

Can you have your choice open ended like a nonsmoking student being OK with a smoking mentor, you might be able to tell driver services, you'd take a reefer mentor or dry van mentor, which ever was available first.
