A bit of advice, take this as a wake up call, get sober and in a few years of being sober then go looking at what is needed to get back in this industry.

OP, these trucking companies are not afraid of lawsuits. Trucking companies get sued all the time. Trucking companies will either have a lawyer on staff or have a very close relationship with a law firm.
Why? Because trucking companies get sued for $500,000 for a minor fender bender. So they know how to handle lawsuits. They will drag it out for 2 or 3 years. Do you have the time and the money to pay your attorney for 2 years?
