nope, if the radio goes bad, go to one of the shops and swap it out.A lot of guys run their own CB, but they have to remove it when they go in for a pm cause they do an inspection on the truck if its changed, youll be put out of service till its changed back.

OK thanks, I had been wondering that for a while. I know some guys that work at a similar ran company that will buy the same model radio that came with the truck but have it peaked and tuned and echo installed, I can't imagine they would notice a different knob in the delta tune place hahaha

Most guys just take the stock 29 out and have it peaked and tuned and put it back in. I used my own radio and antennas, changed my radio out and just placed the original back in the slot without being bolted in. Got away with it but it got old quick
