New Chicago Truck stop

The problem is not the rail yards. I am there very often lately. The primary problem is container haulers with no regard for regulations. They make U-turns right next to No-U-Turn signs to save driving an extra mile or five. They run tractors that 90% of the time will be put out of service in the first 3 minutes of a DOT inspection. Not to mention the poor condition of the container chassis'.

Another driver asked why there are so many enforcement officers around. I said, "You fish where the fish are!"

Certain evils are a part of society. If you want, oh, I don't know, pants, TVs or the frivolous item known as food, then you need trucks.

They blame trucks for being heavy and ruining roads. But our trailers are not loaded with personal belongings! We are only bringing items that the complainers want and need!

I hate hate hate!!! That ducking place! One of our yards is a mile away so I have to go there occasionally. If they weren't the only truck stop for miles they'd be out of business.

 

I stop there to scale and sometimes just to top off refr fuel. Thanks god for helping open a new spot a mile north. Not a truck stop but Mobil and Dunkin and about 4 diesel lanes. It is at the Northwest corner of Internationalle Pkwy and Joliet RD. Still a few months from opening.

I unloaded in Franklin Park earlier today and didn't even realize that place was there. Would have gave it a shot just for the laughs but ended up going out to Hampshire.
