Recently bought a truck and got back in the trucking industry after a 7 year hiatus. Left for the Air Force in 2008, came home in 2012, and have been working at a chemical plant since ive been home from the military. Looking to lease on with a company that allows you to book your own loads, problem is that with me being out the industry for so long companies like Landstar, Mercer, and Farm 2 Fleet are giving me a hard time verifying my "experience" because the small "mom n pop" company I drove for before leaving for the military in 2008 is no longer in business. If anyone has any positive input it'd be highly appreciated, Thanks and God Bless.

As far as worth goes.. everybody's needs and priorities are different so there's no way to answer that.
Latest I heard from someone in class this week posted on my thread saying they're not doing anymore hiring, just spot hiring when people quit/get fired etc.
Before that I heard there's a 6+ month waiting list for those with their own trucks.
