Completed the online app, got a reply from a recruiter, now I just have to give her a call the first chance I get. Ready to get this career going. I'm excited but nervous at the same time.

Get your recruiters email address for future communication... its faster. If you call, be prepared to camp on hold until s/he picks up... voicemails may not get answered. Its just that they're really busy people.

Finally faxed over my DD214 and getting ready to roll. Would driving myself be any better over there instead of taking the greyhound? Also the biggest question I have is on hearing. I have a bone anchored hearing aid that work beautifully once it's snapped on my skull. (Hence Skully) but would that automatically fail me on the DOT physical?

I would recommend you call the doctor's office at Prime and ask them. There staff is very helpful and should be able to answer that question. Other thing would be to research the dot guidelines online. A simple Google search should bring you an answer pretty quickly.

    Good luck

I saw that it was accepted for the most part, but I didn't know Prime's standpoint. Thanks

Welcome. Like I said, give the doctors office a call at Prime and ask them or when you talk to you recruiter have them ask for you. My recruiter was very helpful in making sure there wasn't going to be any issues with my medical. Just make sure you have a lot of documentation with you so you don't have to wait for doctors notes to be faxed back and forth. Schedule an appt with your doctor to get him to sign off on that so you have a note with you already. Make sure you have the contact info on hand if you need to get a hold of your doctor for something during orientation at Prime. Just extra paperwork and a lot of paitence is what you need when you have non-regular medical concerns for a DOT card.

    Good Luck,

    Redoctober
