"There have been several reported issues with Note 7, Samsung issuing a massive recall after batteries started going up in flames, but it was a different Samsung phone, S-7 Edge, that started the fire."

Overheating,,, sends it in, gets it back, still overheating... guess she did not think about taking it into the store where she bought it and showed them the issue.

I wonder about the timing of submitting it to Samsung... it had to be before the Note issue came up... I would think they would be uber aware of any battery issue after that point.

    Hopefully it's only one.

One exploded during a flight on an airliner. Might find it on Google.

    My iPhone doesn't explode.

Do apple products catch on fire? I certainly have just about every one in my truck.

Well, any lithium ion battery does have the potential to do harm but I am betting Apple is double checking their supply chain for issues too.
