I plan on running a separate power and coax so should I stick with the skip or a different antenna

That all depends on your mounting location. From that point once you decide where you want to mount it or them I would measure from that point up to 13 foot 6 inches and see how long your measurement is and make my decision based upon that dimension

HalpinUout, CasanovaCruiser, Fajo and 1 other person Thank this. -
Who'd you piss off so bad that they stuffed you in a volvo?
Straight Stacks Thanks this. -

Volvos are one of the last all steel body trucks. I wouldn't complain too much

Besides it being a bit slower and smaller it is more comfortable overall but most important the turning radius and doing a 90 with the small nose swing seems a whole lot easier. If I could have the best of both worlds then I would be perfect but it is was it is. The idiot in the pink bunny rabbit flip flop could probably catch me know. I am having to get back behind trucks I normally eased by in the freight shaker. What is starting to irritate me with other drivers and 4 wheelers and if I go to pass anyone it's like they discover the gas peddle or to ashamed so they wind it out.

If it was me I would look for a shorter antenna more suitable for a higher mounting location
