Hey give the driver a break. At least it's at a repair shop. Now if he gets needed repairs done is another thing.. As for the blown tire, some companies require you bring back the bad tire too prove you did have a tire issue and not sell it for stripper money.
If you saw my tires right before I bought 8 tires you would of been poking at my pos...
But again, it's at a repair shop....

My company wants the bad tires brought back too, so Swift isn't alone in that.

Stupid question time... What does roached out mean? Never heard that phrase before. Second, do you know what happened?
I know it's unlikely with Swift, but we have drivers rip off the mud flap hanger all the time. Of course we pull drop deck vans, and if the 5th wheel isn't all the way back it will catch on the trailer frame.
And of course, I've personally had a retread come apart and it too the mud flap hanger behind it with it...

What I find funny though, is our company wants the tires back too, but we have day cabs and the company is too cheap to put a spare tire holder on, so we have literately no way of getting it back...

Can't lay it on the frame and ratchet strap it down?

Does Swift haul for Dollar stores? Some of those places aren't the easiest to get into. I know one in Cambridge where drivers always wind up backing up onto a curb trying to get near the back door.

Western Express is known for it too. When one of my drives blew out in addition to wanting the bad tire back they had the repair vendor put the spare tire(a steer tire at that) on the drives.

    It means the same as
" ridden hard and put away wet"

Something that is used up and hasn't been taken care of.....

And no I don't know what happened..... And I believe in running out tires, I was told tires are not on the RO.
