I should be heading to the orientation in Carlisle, PA on the 9th. Unless something dumb happens. So I have some questions.

    Is anyone else here going?

For those of you who've completed a SNI orientation recently, what brand/edition of trucker atlas should I bring? I'm sure the recruiter or someone will tell me soon, but I don't want to scramble to get it.

Also to those who've already done this, is there anything I should be aware of that a recruiter may not tell me?

That's all good to know guys, thank you. Do the trucks we use in training, like for out final test, come with GPS units?

And tell Schneider you want the "Good" run..

You go from Carlisle to Mechanicsburg all day long to that mayonnaise warehouse..8 hours per day 6 mile trip each direction on rte 11...

Take yourself a few breaks during the day,Bring your lawnchair and newspaper everyday and Enjoy the ease of simplicity.

    Bye now.

Yes, but it is not reliable.

You won't need one in the truck you take your road test in. The trainer riding with you tells you where to turn.

At Carlisle they have you punch in an address. For my road test at least, we went from the OC to the Petro, then plugged in another routing point. I can't remember where and from there back to the OC in a big circle. Soo pretty much if you can punch in a bunch of numbers and turn left where Jill (GPS voice) tells you to, you pass.

Interesting, I don't think the truck I took my road test in even had a qualcomm installed.
