I have a friend that is quoting a run from Salt Lake City, UT to International Falls, MN. The trip is approx. 1475 miles. He is oversized and over height. The width is 11', height is 14'5" and length is 51'. What would you guys quote for this run?

Does it need an escort? I'm not an expert on OD stuff, but I would guess it needs a drop deck. How heavy? My intuition tells me $7500 might do it

Henry said it didn't need an escort, not sure on the weight, but as mentioned above its wide and high. Henry said he was going to give the company a quote of $10,000 all in - approx. $6.78/mile. Is he crazy or on target? There is nothing out of I. Falls, MN for him to grab as a back haul either.

The guys in the OD section might be more familiar. @Old Man and @Oscar the KW runs OD quite a bit and are prob well knowledgeable in quoting. Prob wanna PM them

Should he be looking for more or do you think he is in the ballpark?

That part I don't know...but IMHO that is not over the top for daytime only driving, permits, not being able to use certain roads, bla bla bla....I am still learning and have a LOT to learn!

There's an awful lot of territory between slc and intl falls, he should be able to find something going somewhere, but 10k should do it

Heres the problem: the length and height. The dims you gave, is that the load itself? 14'5 on the ground will be near 16ft on the trailer. the average stretch trailer has a 29ft well and a 20 ft stretch. That 51ft length may not fit.

    And what does it weigh?

    "Will $10000 cover it Six?"

Cant tell without looking more into it, but it may need a rear car being over 90ft, and a pole car for the height. That would be over $3/mile plus fuel, plus permit fees, which would nbe alot if the load is heavy.
