    STOP ENGINE! Get used to seeing that on your MX. I made the mistake of putting all my eggs in the Paccar basket with a 2013 MX-13. Single truck o/o with a $2,000 a month yard ornament that I couldn't give away if it was loaded with gold. With Cummins you deal with engine rebuilds at 500K but it will run everyday till then, with Paccar its 3 days on the road then 5 days in the shop for the life of the engine. Sensors, switches, wiring, ecm... Everyday.

    A good friend of mine who is a mechanic told me the very same thing your saying. He said the Paccar's are the worst engines out there, and they hand out only trouble, while saying the Cummins are the best. He is now about 65 and has been working on them all his life, he now works in a shop in Little Rock.

    We got 2 T800's 6 months ago with the 500hp paccar mx and all the drivers love them. The truck I drive has 108000km's and the other one has 140000km's. And so far the trucks have been great. They have each been to the shop a few times for recalls but none of them were to do with the engine or emissions equipment. The engine brake is definitely weaker than the cummins the mechanic at our dealership says that they will improve after the first valve adjustment and that they come from the factory fairly loosely set up. If I had to pick an engine right now it would definitely be paccar.

    I have 3 paccar mx13 now and plan to buy more. Yes they have there problems, but I have educated myself to fix them myself. They are a very simple and very reliable engine. I love the fuel mileage I get out of them. I have gotten away from Cummings all together. Due to fuel. Just my 2 cents

    A lot off complaints floating around about Cummin finding ways to not pay out on warranty claims.
    Fellow TTR member @Belials can give the hard facts on this.

    Crapcar's are horrible I've driven 7 trks at my former company that had them. Those trucks lived in the shop. For these companies that are cheaping out on the front end trying to save money by purchasing trucks with crapcar engines. They end up spending $1000's on the back end.

    Paccar MX-13 --> 12.9L

    I have a DAF 2018 with the Paccar MX-13 with 483hp and consumption by computer is 28.8 Liters/100km (8.15 m/gal)
    weight of the truck is 8.500Kg aprox (18700 lbs)
    125000KM (78000miles) witouth problems (and 10 more DAF here same).
    The engine is quiet and smooth silent.

    Here exist 3 versions of MX-13 made in Europe (Netherlands)
    MX315 with 428HP
    MX355 with 483HP
    MX390 with 530HP

    Paccar MX-11 --> 10.8L
    Is 180Kg light than MX-13. the biggest version is MX330 with 450HP and 3% less diesel consumption.

    In general, Daf here in Europe is a good truck with a good engine with a lot of units on road.
