The 5th wheel on this truck is in rough shape. According to the manual, I think it is a Holland 3500 with a 2535 slider. It has an air adjust system with an in-cab switch, all disconnected. Apparently they left it adjusted towards the back for a long time without any maintenance. The locking lugs are partially rusted away. So they moved it all the way to the front where it is sound. Thus the unit is usable in this state but we will not be able to adjust to manage axle weight.

What is the best option - find a good used replacement? New? If new, I read that there are some places that run pretty good sales on Jost 5th wheels in the winter? Any suggestions on vendors? Should I stay with Holland?

We have a farm tractor with a loader and pallet forks, so I think we can do the removal/install. Don't want to do a rebuild, prefer a complete swap.

From the Peterbilt Bill of Material the 5th is a Holland 2535C36-23.
