So I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me on this truck. The model on the tag is 352S86. It's a 1980. I know that's the right model because the serial numbers match the tag on the door. But my issue is that it has only 1 steer axle and 1 drive axle. My understanding was that the first number in the model was the number of axles. Ex. 282 has 2 axles and a 352/362 has 3 axles. As far as I can tell the frame has not been chopped.

I believe that was their old numbering system. They went away from that sometime in the 70s i think i read. Model numbers started with 2 if it had single drive axle and 3 if it had 2 drive axles.

    Hope this helps.
