I work for them received the same message and still don't understand. Is it delivery within 24 hours of p/u. Deliver same day as p/u or deliver on said day with a 24 hour window? I do kc to Walmart. It's always been a 24 hour window on said delivery day. What changed?

It's funny the ATA will fight for trucking companies against states restrictiing HOS but not companies. Gotta love Lobbyists.

My first reaction to this was they settled because of the IPO, and then it mentioned that in the article.

$28m x 33% (usually the attorneys cut) = $9,240,000. There may be other legal/administrative fees, but approximately it leaves $18,760,000, divided by 7700 drivers is $2436.36 per driver. Not a bad take for BS crap laws made up by the most communist state in the union.

I mean they can legislate vehicle manufacturers spend millions for R & D on low pollution vehicles costing the whole country to burden that expense and now this. Nobody ever stands up to them so why should they ever compromise?

On a side note when you travel I-10 coming into San Bernardino all the way into LA, it is littered with trash along the roadways and side streets. There is trash everywhere. Far worse than 95% of the country.

San Bernardino is like a third world country. This is from the most environmentally conscious people/state.
