going into training for CDL end of August, and my contract is up and I want to switch to prepaid and save if it makes sense. Any recommendations?

It's not the cheapest but Alltel straight talk. I tried all of them and t mobile is ok but for the best coverage straight talk auto fill for at just over $40 a month for 5 gig high speed. I go with the $55 for 10 gig.
Canned Spam and gdyupgal Thank this. -
I think it depends on the area you'll be in...I dropped my verizon plan when I moved to S.TX from North Dakota & chose an A T & T prepaid purely as a trial thing to see if I got better service then verizon & I did & my service was good enough I decided not to be bound by another contract & stayed prepaid now almost 4 yrs & I love it my bill is always the same every month unlike a contract where EVERY months I was calling trying to find out what certain charges were for uggg I hated it..I now actually have AT&T & Verizon prepaid & use which ever is catching signal

gdyupgal, how much are you paying and what kind of data do you get?
-
seems mine are pricey I pay $60 a month for AT&T with 6GB that rolls over if I dont use it & my Verizon is on a $50. plan with 5GB no roll over

Had the verizon $30 pre-paid flip phone. Worked surprisingly well in the western 11.
Had to change cause I needed access to google maps since then company GPS was sometimes not good.
Have the $45 pre-paid straight talk. Works well.
Good luck. -
